The Belgium based manufacturer When Objects Work distributes exclusive objects, designed by leading architects whose work shares a preoccupation with simple forms, usefulness and timeless idioms. All objects are made with authentic materials and manufactured by craftsmen.
Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen's collection of pottery epitomizes his minimalist aesthetic, often expressed by use of natural materials and subtle colour. Though each piece is powerful in isolation, the collection is conceived as an entity. Each piece is composed of two elements: a container and a wooden plate. Whilst the angle of curve and smooth profile of each pot are fixed, the diameter and the height of the vessels vary.
The hicknesses is for the wooden lid (walnut).
