When Objects Work Glass Jar
Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen's collection of glass jars epitomizes his minimalist aesthetic. Though each piece is powerful in isolation, the collection is conceived as an entity. Each piece is composed of two elements: an glass container and a wooden plate. Whilst the angle of curve and smooth profile of each pot are fixed, the diameter and the height of the vessels vary. These shifts in scale determine whether the container is a bowl or a platter.
The jar which is made of glass (diameter 15cm) is available in the colours transparent and black. You can also choose between the thickness (2cm or 3cm) and the wood (oak or walnut) of the lid. So you have the opportunity to create your own and unique glass jar.
