Tom Dixon was born in 1959 in Sfax, Tunisia, and as a designer he displays an extraordinary versatility. His inspirations are based on snapshots of everyday life. The driving force behind his efforts is the vision of reviving the British furniture industry. Innovative designs, such as his designer lamps, are based on the island's existing heritage, and at the same time frequently use patterns and forms from other cultures.
