Tom Dixon Etch Stainless Steel pendant light
The design of the Etch lamp by Tom Dixon was inspired by the logic of pure mathematics. It consists of individually etched plates, which are manufactured employing an industrial process: The pattern is photo etched, meaning that acid dissolves the exposed parts, leaving behind the unexposed metal and thereby creating the pattern.
The geometric structure of the Etch pendant lamps creates a fascinating play of light and shadow, adding visual depth to the illuminated room.
