The beautiful Mater Bowl tables are made of solid mango wood. Designer Ayush Kasliwal was inspired by Indian kneading bowls, traditionally lacquered in bright red and spread all across the south of India. The finishing of the mango wood is done with eco-friendly lead free and water based lacquers that lead to the distinctive individual colours of the tables.
The mango fruit is very popular in India and therefore the trees are widely spread over the country. The trees are grown and tended for. Once the mango tree exceeds its peak of productivity it will be cut down and replaced by another one.
The table top (bowl) is made of sustainably harvested natural mango wood. You have the choice between Sirka Grey and Black.
The legs consist of black lacquered steel.
