Gubi Grossman Desk 62-Series Desk
The asymmetrically arranged legs of the desk Grossman almost look like the sensor of a space shuttle. The sturdy furniture from the futuristic 62-series act never heavy or bulky, but timelessly elegant thanks to its delicate elements.
Greta Grossman designed the 62-series in 1952 for the California Manufacturers Glenn. The name is intended to indicate a humorous way that the modern furniture of their time were 10 years ahead. In fact, the Grossman desk was very futuristic for its time. With his thin legs, he is reminiscent of space ships. The lacquered metal legs stand on small wooden balls. The walnut wood used creates a warm contrast to that used dark metal. For this game with colors, patterns and textures of the furniture Greta Grossman refer their appeal.
The manufacturer Gubi has discovered the design icon again and now brings selected drafts out in a slightly updated form. An elegant formal language pervades each of the designs by Greta Grossman. The pieces of furniture are also a testament to the timelessness of modernity.
