The Kaiser Idell floor lamp is original Bauhaus design. Since the early 1930s the lamp series wrote design history. Created was the Kaiser Idell 6580-F Luxus by designer Christian Dell. In the 1920s he was a foreman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The floor lamp does not stand behind the famous Kaiser Idell table lamp series: Her distinctive form and the asymmetrically shaped shade of the lamp were crucial to ensure the worldwide reputation the Kaiser Idell 6580-F has gained over the years. For the shade of the Kaiser idell floor lamp robust steel is used, which is then lacquered high gloss or matte.
Besides being black (matte and glossy), the lamp is also available in white. The high-quality chrome elements give the Kaiser idell 6580-F floor lamp a distinctive and elegant appearance. With their successful design many of the lights by Christian Dell gained access to the famous collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
