ClassiCon Jean Table
Jean, named after Eileen Gray‘s intimate friend of many years, the architect Jean Badovici, stood in various modeis in their summer villa E 1027.
"Every room has at its disposal one of these tables", wrote Eileen Gray, "that at the same time can serve as a desk. For entertaining one moves all the pieces together, unfolds them and what follows is a small dining table, light yet absolutely stable." There is nothing more to say.

Folding the table out and back in: First slide the double tabletop to the side as far as it will go 1 (this is only possible in one direction) and then fold down the upper section 2. There are recessed grips on the side for easier handling 3. To make the table smaller again, slide the tabletop back as far as it will go 4 and then fold the top section upward 5. This makes the table easier to move. The feet are height-adjustable to balance out an uneven floor 6.
