The Capitol Complex Table by Cassina is a tribute to the Swiss architect and furniture designer Pierre Jeanneret. The table was created between 1963 and 1964 when Jeanneret was responsible for numerous projects in the Indian city of Chandigarh together with his cousin Le Courbusier. Le Corbusier's famous Capitol Complex government building was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016. Pierre Jeanneret was largely responsible for the interior design and in particular for the design of the chairs. A special compositional scheme, which can also be found in other furniture of the Capitol Complex family, is the "V"-shaped support.
The Cassina Capitol Office Complex table combines a frame in black-stained oak with a table top made of glass.
