Cassina stands for Italian furniture design like hardly any other brand. Since 1927, the manufacturer from Milan has focused on first-class quality. Not only contemporary new editions of famous designs by Le Corbusier, Gio Ponti, Pierre Jeanneret, Gerrit Rietveld and Charlotte Perriand characterise the Cassina collection, but also current designs, which the Italian manufacturer groups together under the generic term Cassina I Contemporanei. A special highlight is the in-house carpentry in Meda, where the furniture is manufactured at the highest level of craftsmanship. For interior designers, Cesare and Umberto Cassina are still a role model today, because they were the first to encourage other architects and designers to experiment with innovative forms, materials and techniques and to design furniture that was groundbreaking and ushered in a new age of interior design.
