Carl Hansen & Son CH07 Shell Chair
The CH07 Shell chair was originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1963 for the annual Furniture Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen. The early 90s saw a resurgence in the chair’s popularity and Carl Hansen & Son began producing it again in 1998 – when it immediately won several design awards and broad public appeal. With its arching curves, tapered legs and wing-like lines, the Shell chair possesses a floating lightness and striking shape.
The chair’s slightly bent, upholstered shell offers outstanding comfort while it’s three-legged construction gives great stability. This triangular footprint makes the Shell chair suitable for corners settings, but it is frequently placed where its dazzling form can be appreciated from all sides.
The Carl Hansen & Son Shell Chair’s is made from the highest quality oak wood veeneer. It is upholstered in leather, with your choice of six colours.
