The CAB core leather chair is a bestseller by Cassina, designed by Mario Bellini in the 1970s. Today, the design is one of the iconic pieces of furniture in the Cassina "I Contemporanei" collection. CAB is characterised by a self-supporting structure made of core leather, whereby the relationship between skeleton and skin served as a source of inspiration. The cover consists of 16 leather parts, which are carefully worked by hand in many individual steps and pulled over the steel skeleton like a made-to-measure suit and closed with zips.
The Cassina CAB chair combines a tubular steel frame with polyurethane upholstery and a core leather cover. The leather cover can be chosen in different colours.
