Details: This is the new version of the original 3 spring Anglepoise lamp. With its broad range of movement and classic looks this lamp will suit a wide range of uses from reading in your arm chair to working at your desk, in the home or the office.
  Aluminium arms and metal joints.
Weighted table base for extra stability.
Energy saving version with 12 watt CFL..
Double Insulated.
R63 reflector bulb can be used.
Inline switch.

History: The Original Anglepoise lamp was designed in 1933 by the British designer George Carwardine.
Carwardine was a motor car designer who applied his engineering skill to build a lamp which mimicked the joints of the human arm. The joints and spring tension allow the lamp to be placed in a wide range of positions and remain stationary without the need for clamping. The original Anglepoise was manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons in 1934. The design is characteristic of the functional approach to office and domestic design that was dominant in the 1930s.
